Position Overview

Transfer Tool is seeking experienced Toolmakers / Die-setters to join our skilled manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting, maintaining, and repairing progressive and transfer dies on our mechanical and hydraulic punch presses. This is an excellent opportunity to work with precision tooling in a deep drawn metal stamping facility. 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain progressive and transfer dies on mechanical and hydraulic punch presses
• Troubleshoot tooling and die problems during production runs
• Perform routine die maintenance, repair, and sharpening
• Read and interpret blueprints, die prints, and technical drawings
• Work closely with production and quality teams to reduce downtime
• Document tooling changes and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Qualifications

• Experience setting dies on mechanical and/or hydraulic presses
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with deep drawn stamping processes
• Transfer die setup and troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with press tonnage requirements and die protection systems
• Experience in a high-volume production stamping environment
• 3+ years of toolmaking or die-setting experience in a metal stamping or forming environment

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Controls Engineer to join our team and provide production support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, improving, and maintaining production equipment and control systems throughout our facility. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented professional with strong electrical and controls experience who is willing to work closely with production, maintenance, tooling, and engineering teams to achieve company goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide daily controls and automation support for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, HMI, sensor, servo, and machine control issues.
• Program, modify, and maintain Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi PLC systems.
• Support and troubleshoot Wintriss press control systems and safety circuits.
• Assist maintenance and production teams with equipment startup, repairs, and process improvements.
• Develop and implement controls improvements to increase productivity, reliability, and safety.
• Maintain electrical schematics, documentation, and control system backups.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and automation projects.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience in industrial controls and automation will be considered.
• Experience with:
  • Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs
  • Mitsubishi PLCs and HMIs
  • Wintriss Press Controls
  • Industrial networking and communication protocols
  • Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Servo systems
  • Machine safety systems
• Experience in metal stamping, deep-drawn stamping, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
